A Bill for an Act entitled: An Act extending for 2 years the attorney general's duty to represent the state in bankruptcy proceedings in which the state's interest may be affected; amending section 4, Chapter 196, Laws of 1995; and providing an effective date.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Montana:

Section 1. Section 4, Chapter 196, Laws of 1995, is amended to read:

"Section 4. Termination. [This act] terminates June 30, 1997 1999."

Section 2.  Effective date. [This act] is effective June 30, 1997.
