A Bill for an Act entitled: "An Act appropriating money to contribute to the construction of a youth detention facility in Jefferson County; and providing an effective date."

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Montana:

NEW SECTION. Section 1.  Appropriation. There is appropriated to the department of administration $400,000 for the purpose of contributing to the construction of a regional detention facility for youth near Boulder, in Jefferson County, for the youth detention region composed of the counties of Beaverhead, Broadwater, Deer Lodge, Gallatin, Granite, Jefferson, Lewis and Clark, Madison, Park, Powell, and Silver Bow.

NEW SECTION. Section 2.  Effective date. [This act] is effective July 1, 1997.
