A Bill for an Act entitled: "An Act requiring drivers of vehicles outside cities or towns to drive with lighted headlamps at all times; and amending section 61-9-201, MCA."
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Montana:
Section 1. Section 61-9-201, MCA, is amended to read:
"61-9-201. When lighted lamps are required. (1) Every Subject to exceptions with respect to parked vehicles, every
driver of a vehicle upon a highway within this state the exterior boundaries of an incorporated city or town at any time from
one-half hour after before sunset to one-half hour before sunrise and at any other time when due to because of insufficient
light or unfavorable atmospheric conditions persons and vehicles on the highway are not clearly discernible at a distance of
500 feet ahead shall display drive with lighted lamps and illuminating devices as hereinafter respectively required in this
part for different classes of vehicles, subject to exceptions with respect to parked vehicles.
(2) Every driver of a vehicle, including a farm tractor or implement of husbandry, shall at all times drive with lighted headlamps when traveling upon a highway outside the exterior boundaries of an incorporated city or town."
