House Joint Resolution No. 29

A Joint Resolution of the Senate and the House of Representatives of the state of Montana congratulating the Missoula Big Sky High School boys basketball team on winning the 1997 Class AA state championship.

WHEREAS, the Missoula Big Sky High School boys basketball team won its first Class AA state championship on March 1, 1997; and

WHEREAS, the Big Sky Eagles' win was earned over the top-ranked team in the conference; and

WHEREAS, the Eagles have an outstanding record of 17 wins and 4 losses for the season and 10 wins and 2 losses in conference play; and

WHEREAS, the commitment and hard work exemplified by the Big Sky team members and coaching staff provide a model for youth and instill pride in all Montanans; and

WHEREAS, it is fitting that the Big Sky team be recognized for their outstanding performance.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE AND THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:

That the congratulations of all Montanans be extended to the Missoula Big Sky High School boys basketball team and their coaching staff for bringing recognition and honor to Big Sky High School and the State of Montana.
