A Bill for an Act entitled: "An Act eliminating the requirement that an auctioneer's bond be approved by a county clerk; requiring the bond sureties to be authorized to do business in this state; and amending section
Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Montana:
Section 1. Section 30-11-510, MCA, is amended to read:
"30-11-510. Bond and sureties --
approval -- filing. (1) Bond The bond required under this part must be payable to the
state, with be obtained from one or more sureties authorized to do business in this state, be in the sum of $5,000, and
approved by be filed with the county clerk of the county in which the auctioneer resides and filed in his office.
(2) If the auctioneer is not a resident, the bond
shall must be filed with the county clerk of the county of this state in which
he the auctioneer carries on his conducts the auctioneer's principal auction business."
