A Bill for an Act entitled: "An Act providing for the use of mail ballots for the purpose of incurring bonded indebtedness for water and sewer districts; amending section

7-13-2323, MCA; and providing an immediate effective date."

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Montana:

Section 1.  Section 7-13-2323, MCA, is amended to read:

"7-13-2323.   Election on question of incurring bonded indebtedness. The board of directors shall fix a date upon which an election is held for the purpose of authorizing the bonded indebtedness to be incurred. The election must may be held at a special election conducted by mail ballot or in conjunction with a regular or primary election."

NEW SECTION. Section 2.  Effective date. [This act] is effective on passage and approval.
