     27-28-307. Refusal to turn over books and papers punishable as contempt. If such defendant refuse or neglect to deliver over any such book or paper pursuant to such demand, he shall be deemed guilty of a contempt of court and shall be fined in any sum not exceeding $10,000 and imprisoned in the jail of the county until he complies with the order of the court or is otherwise discharged by due course of law.
