     41-5-344. Limitation on placement of youth in need of care. A youth alleged to be a youth in need of care may be placed only by the department of public health and human services as provided in Title 41, chapter 3, and may not be placed in a youth assessment center, youth detention facility, jail, or other facility intended or used for the confinement of adults accused or convicted of criminal offenses.
