     7-6-4104. Duties of treasurer relating to finances -- exception. It is the duty of the treasurer:
     (1) to receive all money that comes to the municipality, either from taxation or otherwise, and to pay the money out on the warrant of the mayor, countersigned by the clerk or finance officer, drawn in accordance with law;
     (2) to give every person paying money to the treasurer a receipt, specifying the date of payment, the amount, and for what paid;
     (3) to pay out, in the order registered, all warrants presented for payment, when there are funds in the treasury to pay the same.
     (4) This section does not apply to a municipality that has adopted the alternative accounting method provided for in Title 7, chapter 6, part 6.
