53-6-170. (Temporary) Inpatient hospital youth psychiatric benefits. The department may authorize inpatient hospital youth psychiatric facilities to participate in the medicaid program for acute care inpatient hospital services. Payments made by the department must comply with all of the requirements of chapter 6, including but not limited to the determination of medical necessity, the diagnostic-related group rates established by the department for acute care inpatient hospital services, any travel restrictions, and exclusion of services not covered by the medicaid program.
