     7-12-4502. Notice of intention to abandon district. (1) After the passage of the resolution provided for in 7-12-4501, the city or town clerk shall give notice of such intention to abandon by one publication in a newspaper published in such city or town at least 10 days prior to the passage of a resolution abandoning the same. In case there is no publication of a newspaper in such city or town, then notice shall be given by the posting of a notice of such intention to abandon in three places within such district to be abandoned.
     (2) Said notice shall specify the boundaries of such district to be abandoned, the date of the passage of the resolution of intention to abandon, and the date set for the passage of the resolution of abandonment and that unless 40% of the owners in the district file written protest with the clerk of such city or town before the passage of the resolution, the same will be passed. Said notice shall also set forth, when applicable, that it shall be the duty of the owners of the property abutting on the street parking district involved to maintain the same after such abandonment.
