81-6-210. Discontinuance of district -- levy saved. Upon receipt of a petition or of petitions signed in the same number and in the same manner as the petition to form the district, as herein provided, the board of county commissioners shall discontinue the cattle protective district, provided, however, that such action in discontinuing said district shall not affect any levy made prior to the receipt of such petition or petitions and the proceeds of any levy made shall be used for the purposes as in this part set out. No district or portion of such district shall be discontinued so long as there is any outstanding indebtedness against it.
