A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: "AN ACT PROVIDING THAT A PERSON MAY NOT KNOWINGLY PERMIT A MOTOR VEHICLE OWNED OR CONTROLLED BY THE PERSON TO BE DRIVEN BY A PERSON WHO IS NOT AUTHORIZED TO DRIVE UNDER STATE LAW; AND AMENDING SECTION 61-5-304, MCA."



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:



     Section 1.  Section 61-5-304, MCA, is amended to read:

     "61-5-304.  Permitting unauthorized minor person to drive. No A person shall cause or may not knowingly permit his child or ward under the age of 18 years to drive a motor vehicle owned or controlled by the person to be driven upon any highway when such minor by a person who is not authorized hereunder to drive under or who is in violation of any of the provisions a provision of parts 1 through 3 of this chapter."
