AN ACT APPROPRIATING UP TO $1 MILLION FROM THE FEDERAL SPECIAL REVENUE FUND TO PLAN FOR RECONSTRUCTING AND PAVING THE ROAD FROM STATE SECONDARY HIGHWAY 279 TO MARYSVILLE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:



     Section 1.  Appropriation. (1) Contingent upon receipt of federal funding specifically allocated to the state of Montana for the benefit of the Marysville road, there is appropriated to the department of transportation for the biennium beginning July 1, 2001, an amount equal to the allocation up to $1 million from the federal special revenue fund established in 17-2-102.

     (2) The department of transportation shall use the money to plan for reconstructing and paving the road leading from state secondary highway 279 to Marysville.



     Section 2.  Effective date. [This act] is effective July 1, 2001.
