AN ACT REVISING THE TYPE OF FUND FOR THE DEPOSIT OF RECEIPTS FROM SURPLUS PROPERTY SALES IN THE STATE TREASURY; AMENDING SECTION 18-5-203, MCA; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:



     Section 1.  Section 18-5-203, MCA, is amended to read:

     "18-5-203.  Agency for surplus property -- authorization for financing. The state agency for surplus property shall must be self-sustaining and shall pay for its operation and maintenance directly from receipts from surplus property which shall that must be deposited in the treasury in an internal service enterprise fund."



     Section 2.  Effective date. [This act] is effective July 1, 2001.
