A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: "AN ACT PROVIDING A PER DIEM ALLOWANCE FOR LEGISLATIVE INTERNS; AND REPEALING SECTION 5-6-111, MCA."



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:



     NEW SECTION.  Section 1.  Per diem allowance. The legislative council shall provide a per diem allowance to each legislative intern named by the president of the college or university in which the intern is enrolled. The per diem allowance must equal the daily allowance for legislators as provided in 5-2-301(3).



     NEW SECTION.  Section 2.  Repealer. Section 5-6-111, MCA, is repealed.



     NEW SECTION.  Section 3.  Codification instruction. [Section 1] is intended to be codified as an integral part of Title 5, chapter 6, part 1, and the provisions of Title 5, chapter 6, part 1, apply to [section 1].
