A RESOLUTION OF THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA CONCURRING IN, CONFIRMING, AND CONSENTING TO THE NOMINATION AND APPOINTMENT MADE BY THE GOVERNOR AND SUBMITTED TO THE SENATE OF HONORABLE JAMES A. RICE AS JUSTICE OF THE MONTANA SUPREME COURT.



     WHEREAS, the Governor of the State of Montana has made the nomination, below designated, of an appointment that has been submitted to the Senate by the Governor, to wit:

     James A. Rice as Justice of the Montana Supreme Court, to serve the remainder of the term vacated by the Honorable Karla Gray upon her election as Chief Justice of the Montana Supreme Court.



NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:

     That the Senate of the 57th Legislature of the State of Montana does hereby concur in, confirm, and consent to the above nomination.

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Secretary of the Senate immediately deliver a copy of this resolution, certified by the President and Secretary of the Senate, to the Secretary of State and a copy, certified by the Secretary of the Senate, to the Governor pursuant to section 5-5-303, MCA.
