     37-61-214. Penalty for practicing without certificate indicating payment of tax. No attorney shall practice or be permitted to practice his profession in any of the courts of record in this state until he shall have paid such license tax for the current fiscal year and procured a certificate, as hereinabove provided, and any attorney violating this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not less than $25.
