61-3-521. Fee in lieu of tax for certain vehicles. (1) There is a fee in lieu of property tax imposed on motor homes and travel trailers and on trailers, pole trailers, and semitrailers with a declared weight of less than 26,000 pounds. The fee is in addition to annual or one-time registration fees, as applicable.
     (2) The fee imposed by subsection (1) need not be paid by a dealer for vehicles that constitute inventory of the dealership.
