HOUSE BILL NO. 366

A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: "AN ACT APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSES OF LEADERSHIP MONTANA AT MONTANA STATE UNIVERSITY-BILLINGS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE."

 

     WHEREAS, the mission of Leadership Montana is to develop a sustainable core of committed leaders who understand the state's changing and challenging economy, the increasingly complex issues regarding the health and security of our people, and the management of our natural resources, who are willing to listen to and learn from each other and celebrate cultural diversity and diverse opinions, and who demonstrate a passion for the Last Best Place; and

     WHEREAS, Leadership Montana is an effort undertaken by Montana State University-Billings to accomplish the stated mission.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:

 

     NEW SECTION.  Section 1.  Appropriation. There is appropriated $75,000 for fiscal year 2008 and $75,000 for fiscal year 2009 from the general fund to Montana state university-Billings to be used only for the purposes of leadership Montana.

 

     NEW SECTION.  Section 2.  Effective date. [This act] is effective July 1, 2007.
