     85-7-1505. Compensation and expenses of commissioners. (1) The commissioners, when sitting as a board or when engaged in the business of the district, are entitled to compensation at an amount determined by a majority vote of the board for each day that they are actually and necessarily engaged in the performance of irrigation district duties. The amount of compensation determined by the board may be no greater than $100.
     (2) The commissioners are also entitled to reimbursement for travel expenses, as provided in 2-18-501 through 2-18-503, and for their necessary expenses when otherwise engaged in district business, including premiums on qualifying bonds and any other bonds required of the commissioners in connection with their office.
