HOUSE BILL NO. 203

A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: "AN ACT PROVIDING APPROPRIATIONS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR FUNDING PROJECTS; AND PROVIDING AN IMMEDIATE EFFECTIVE DATE."

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:

 

     NEW SECTION.  Section 1.  Appropriations. (1) For the biennium beginning July 1, 2015, there is appropriated from the general fund to the department of transportation up to $14.4 million to be used as matching funds for highway construction projects.

     (2) For the biennium beginning July 1, 2017, there is appropriated from the general fund to the department of transportation up to $14.4 million less the total amount of any funds encumbered or expended from the appropriation made in subsection (1) to be used as matching funds for highway construction projects.

     (3) For the biennium beginning July 1, 2015, there is appropriated from the highway federal special revenue account to the department of transportation up to $96,379,423 for highway construction projects.

     (4) For the biennium beginning July 1, 2017, there is appropriated from the highway federal special revenue account to the department of transportation up to $96,379,423 less the total amount of funds encumbered or expended from the appropriation made in subsection (3) for highway construction projects.

 

     NEW SECTION.  Section 2.  Effective date. [This act] is effective on passage and approval.
