A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: "AN ACT REQUIRING AN ORANGE FLAG FOR A BICYCLE."

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:

 

     NEW SECTION.  Section 1.  Bicycle flag requirement. A bicycle operating on a roadway must be equipped with a flag clearly visible from the rear and suspended not less than 5 feet above the roadway when the bicycle is standing upright. The flag must be fluorescent orange in color.

 

     NEW SECTION.  Section 2.  Codification instruction. [Section 1] is intended to be codified as an integral part of Title 61, chapter 8, part 6, and the provisions of Title 61, chapter 8, part 6, apply to [section 1].
