Procedure When Operator Fails To Furnish Or Update Map

50-73-209. Procedure when operator fails to furnish or update map. When the operator of a mine neglects or refuses or for any cause not satisfactory to the department fails for a period of 3 months to furnish the department the map or plan of the mine or of the extension or a copy, the department may make or cause to be made an accurate map or plan of the mine at the expense of the owner or lessee, and the cost may be recovered from the owner, lessee, or operator in the same manner as other debts by suit in the name of the state.
