A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: "AN ACT GENERALLY REVISING LAWS RELATED TO LITTERING; PROVIDING FOR REGULATORY HIGHWAY SIGNS THAT ALERT MOTORISTS OF THE FINES RELATED TO LITTERING; AND PROVIDING RULEMAKING AUTHORITY."
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:
NEW SECTION. Section 1. Signs to communicate fines for littering -- rulemaking. (1) The department shall erect signs that communicate the fines provided for in 61-8-365 related to throwing or depositing debris on a highway.
(2) The signs must be placed on all state and national highway routes.
(3) The department may adopt rules to implement this section.
NEW SECTION. Section 2. Codification instruction. [Section 1] is intended to be codified as an integral part of Title 60, and the provisions of Title 60, apply to [section 1].
