A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: "AN ACT REQUIRING A HEALTH WARNING FOR RAW MILK OR RAW MILK PRODUCTS SALES."

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:

 

     NEW SECTION.  Section 1.  Signs for raw milk sales. A person selling raw milk or raw milk products shall post visibly and prominently at the point of sale a sign of at least 1 x 2 feet that states in large, clear print, "Research has found raw milk and raw milk products from cows, goats, and sheep can transmit life-threatening bacterial infections. Physicians advise elderly and immunocompromised individuals, pregnant women, infants, and children to consume only pasteurized milk, cheese, and other milk products."

 

     NEW SECTION.  Section 2.  Codification instruction. [Section 1] is intended to be codified as an integral part of Title 81, and the provisions of Title 81 apply to [section 1].
