AN ACT PROVIDING THAT CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IMPROVEMENTS MAY NOT BE CLASSIFIED BY STATE AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT ENTITIES AS A MOBILE HOME.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:
Section 1. Classification of mobile home, manufactured home, or housetrailer -- property records. A mobile home, manufactured home, or housetrailer that is considered an improvement as defined in 15-1-101 may not be identified as a mobile home in state and local property databases or through the internet unless the distinction is required for property valuation or property tax billing purposes.
Section 2. Codification instruction. [Section 1] is intended to be codified as an integral part of Title 15, chapter 1, part 1, and the provisions of Title 15, chapter 1, part 1, apply to [section 1].
