A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: "AN ACT REVISING LAWS GOVERNING HIGHWAY ENCROACHMENTS; INCREASING THE FINE FOR FAILURE TO REMOVE AN ENCROACHMENT; AND AMENDING SECTION 7-14-2136, MCA."
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:
Section 1. Section 7-14-2136, MCA, is amended to read:
"7-14-2136. Penalty for failure to remove encroachment promptly. If the encroachment is not removed immediately or removal is not diligently conducted, the one who causes, owns, or controls the encroachment is liable to a penalty of $10 up to $500 for each day the same encroachment continues."
