A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: “AN ACT revising the CONFIDENTIALITY OF ethics complaintS; removing CONFIDENTIALITY provisionS RELATED TO ETHICS COMPLAINTs CONCERNING PUBLIC EMPLOYEES OR UNELECTED PUBLIC OFFICERS; REPEALING SECTION 2-2-140, MCA; and PROVIDING AN IMMEDIATE EFFECTIVE DATE.”

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:

NEW SECTION. Section 1. Repealer. The following section of the Montana Code Annotated is repealed:

2-2-140.            Complaint -- confidentiality.

NEW SECTION. Section 2. Effective date. [This act] is effective on passage and approval.
