Explanation - This amendment eliminates restricted, one-time-only general fund appropriations of $500,000 each fiscal year in the Commissioner of Higher Education. This reduction is to the funding for the Montana Research and Economic Development Initiative (MREDI). It is proposed that this program will receive funding in HB 632 from the federal funds included in the American Rescue Plan Act.
