Explanation - This amendment would remove funding for the costs of HB 303 and contingent language from HB 2 for the Office of Public Instruction, and this amendment would also add funding for the costs of SB 72 and HB 233 into HB 2 for the Office of Public Instruction. The net effect of these changes is a reduction of $1,040,828 general fund local assistance in FY 2022 and a reduction of $840,825 general fund local assistance in FY 2023 for the K-12 BASE Aid appropriation in the Local Education Activities Program.
Removing the costs of HB 303 would reduce the appropriation by $1,040,828 in FY 2022 and by $1,244,592 in FY 2023. Adding the costs of SB 72 would increase the same appropriation by $267,716 in FY 2023 only, and adding the costs of HB 233 would increase the same appropriation by $136,051 in FY 2023 only.
