A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: "AN ACT ADDRESSING IMMEDIATE WORKFORCE NEEDS THROUGH INVESTMENT IN expanding existing and developing new CAREER AND TECHNICAL PROGRAMS AT MONTANA COMMUNITY COLLEGES; PROVIDING AN APPROPRIATION; and PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE."
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:
NEW SECTION. Section 1. Appropriation. There is appropriated $1 million from the general fund for the biennium beginning July 1, 2023, to the office of the commissioner of higher education for distribution to community colleges for expanding existing and developing new career and technical education programs to address immediate workforce needs in Montana as follows:
(1) $300,000 to Dawson community college;
(2) $200,000 to Miles community college; and
(3) $500,000 to Flathead Valley community college.
NEW SECTION. Section 2. Effective date. [This act] is effective July 1, 2023.
