A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: "AN ACT PROVIDING APPROPRIATIONs related to speeding laws; and PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE."
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:
NEW SECTION. Section 1. Appropriations. (1) There is appropriated $1 million from the general fund to the department of justice for the biennium beginning July 1, 2023, to fund aerial enforcement by the highway patrol of speeding laws on U.S. highway 212.
(2) There is appropriated $3,000 from the general fund to the department of transportation for the biennium beginning July 1, 2023, to erect appropriate signs on U.S. highway 212 providing notice of aerial enforcement by the highway patrol of speeding laws.
NEW SECTION. Section 2. Effective date. [This act] is effective July 1, 2023.
