A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: "AN ACT INCREASING FUNDING FOR BLOCK MANAGEMENT BY ELIMINATING FUNDING FOR PEN-RAISED PHEASANTS; PROVIDING AN APPROPRIATION; REPEALING SECTION 26, CHAPTER 552, LAWS OF 2021; and PROVIDING AN IMMEDIATE EFFECTIVE DATE."
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:
NEW SECTION. Section 1. Repealer. Section 26, Chapter 552, Laws of 2021, is repealed.
NEW SECTION. Section 2. Appropriation. (1) For the biennium beginning July 1, 2023, in each fiscal year there is appropriated to the department of fish, wildlife, and parks the following for funding unified cooperative agreements pursuant to 87-1-265:
(a) $500,000 from the state special revenue fund established in 87-1-601; and
(b) $500,000 from the federal special revenue fund established in 87-1-601.
(2) The legislature intends that the appropriations in this section be considered a part of the ongoing base for the 2025 legislative session.
NEW SECTION. Section 3. Effective date. [This act] is effective on passage and approval.
