A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: "AN ACT allowing plumbers licensed by the state to be certified operators of community or public water systems disinfected with ultraviolet light; and providing a definition."
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:
NEW SECTION. Section 1. Certified system operators -- licensed plumbers. (1) A plumber licensed by the state pursuant to Title 37, chapter 69, part 3, must be certified by the department as a water system operator for a community water system, as defined in 75-6-102(4), or a public water supply system, as defined in 75-6-102(15), that:
(a) has between 15 and 50 service connections; and
(b) uses ultraviolet light for water disinfection.
(2) For the purposes of this section, "operator" means the person in direct charge of the operation of a community water system or a public water supply system.
NEW SECTION. Section 2. Codification instruction. [Section 1] is intended to be codified as an integral part of Title 75, chapter 6, part 1, and the provisions of Title 75, chapter 6, part 1, apply to [section 1].
