A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: "AN ACT revising law for the sale of electric vehicles; requiring a notice regarding vehicle fires; and providing rulemaking authority."
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:
NEW SECTION. Section 1. Electric vehicle warning. An electric vehicle sold within the state must be equipped with a warning, of a size prescribed by department rulemaking, posted on the exterior of the vehicle stating that fumes from a vehicle fire are hazardous.
NEW SECTION. Section 2. Codification instruction. [Section 1] is intended to be codified as an integral part of Title 61, chapter 9, part 4, and the provisions of Title 61, chapter 9, part 4, apply to [section 1].
