Insert: "If HB 128 is passed and approved, the appropriation from the Marijuana state special revenue account to the Public Health and Safety Division is reduced by $202,894 in each year of the biennium and the appropriation for the Department of Revenue Cannabis Control Division is increased by $202,894 in each year of the biennium from the Marijuana state special revenue account."

Explanation - This amendment reduces 1.50 FTE and associated

personal services and operating costs established as part of the

implementation of HB 598 from the 2019 Session. HB 598 required

the Department of Public128 Health and Human Services to review

applications for, and inspection of, marijuana testing

laboratories. This amendment decreases state special marijuana

funds by $202,894 each fiscal year of the biennium. This

amendment is contingent on passage and approval of HB 128, which

transfers the laboratory inspection and application review work

to the Department of Revenue.
