Explanation - This amendment increases transfers to the Montana Agricultural Experiment Station (MAES) and the MSU Extension in the Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education by $300,000 each fiscal year. This amendment would fund salaries and associated benefits for two new tenure-track faculty positions and operational costs to continue a precision agriculture program. MAES would utilize $200,000 per year toward precision agriculture research and the MSU Extension would utilize $100,000 per year to build and maintain a precision agriculture outreach program.
