Explanation - This amendment provides $2,500,000 in restricted one-time-only general fund authority to the Department of Corrections to pay overtime for correctional officers contingent on the department first expending all its appropriated personal services related to paying correctional officers. All appropriations in the Public Safety Division are biennial and can be used throughout he 2025 biennium.
