Explanation - This amendment changes the funding source for eight drug courts coming off of federal grant funding in the 2025 biennium. The Section D subcommittee had approved funding drug courts with settlement funds received from the State of Montana v. McKinsey & Company, Inc. lawsuit. This amendment changes the funding source for these courts to the general fund and removes restrictive language from HB 2.
