BY REQUEST OF THE COMMITTEE ON PUBLIC EMPLOYEE RETIREMENT SYSTEMS
A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: "AN ACT EXTENDING THE SUNSET ON THE COMMITTEE ON PUBLIC EMPLOYEE RETIREMENT SYSTEMS; PROVIDING AN APPROPRIATION; AMENDING SECTION 9, CHAPTER 549, LAWS OF 1993; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE."
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:
Section 1. Section 9, Chapter 549, Laws of 1993, is amended to read:
"Section 9. Termination. [This act] terminates June 30, 1995 2001."
NEW SECTION. Section 2. Appropriation. There is appropriated from the general fund to the legislative services division for the use of the committee on public employee retirement systems $20,000 for the biennium ending June 30, 2001.
NEW SECTION. Section 3. Coordination instruction. If [LC 185] is passed and approved and if it provides for a restructuring of interim legislative committees in a manner that assigns the duties of the committee on public employee retirement systems to one of the permanent interim committees, then [this act] is void.
NEW SECTION. Section 4. Effective date. [This act] is effective July 1, 1999.
