A BILL FOR AN ACT ENTITLED: "AN ACT PROHIBITING COUNTIES FROM PUBLISHING DELINQUENT TAXPAYER LISTS CONTAINING THE NAMES OF PERSONS WHO ARE LESS THAN 2 YEARS DELINQUENT IN PAYING A COUNTY REAL PROPERTY TAX."
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MONTANA:
NEW SECTION. Section 1. Publishing delinquent taxpayer lists. A county government and its political subdivisions may not publish a list of delinquent taxpayers that contains the names of persons who are less than 2 years delinquent in the payment of any real property tax levied by the county or its political subdivisions.
NEW SECTION. Section 2. Codification instruction. [Section 1] is intended to be codified as an integral part of Title 7, chapter 6, part 25, and the provisions of Title 7, chapter 6, part 25, apply to [section 1].
