The LFC Pensions/Local Government Subcommittee will meet at 10 a.m., Sept. 16, 2019, in Room 172 of the state capitol building to begin discussions on public pensions and state/local government interactions.

The subcommittee will examine current pension funding mechanisms and a history of legislation regarding the state general fund and pension funding. The Legislative Fiscal Division will also present reports on the history of the entitlement share and the Office of Public Defender.

House members appointed to the subcommittee are Ryan Lynch, D-Butte, Jim Hamilton, D-Bozeman, Bill Mercer, R-Billings, and Kimberly Dudik, D-Missoula. The subcommittee will elect its presiding and vice-presiding officers during the meeting.
