     7-2-2302. Role of county clerk of county created by legislature. (1) The individual appointed to the office of county clerk in the bill creating the county shall be notified in writing, by the county commissioners or some one of them, of the time and place of the meeting required by 7-2-2301. He must attend the meeting and act as the clerk thereof and keep a record of the proceedings.
     (2) If no individual is appointed to the office of county clerk by the act creating the county, the commissioners shall at the meeting select some individual qualified to hold the office of county clerk to act as clerk of the meeting.
     (3) The individual appointed county clerk shall also serve as election administrator.
