     50-71-104. Effect on existing structures and equipment. Nothing contained in this chapter shall prevent the use of existing buildings, structures, and equipment during their lifetime when they are maintained in good condition, are properly safeguarded, and conform to the applicable safety standards required by Montana safety codes effective prior to July 1, 1969, provided that replacements and alterations shall conform to all provisions of this chapter.
