     81-7-122. Penalty for fraudulent claims. Any person or persons who shall patch up any skin or scalp or who shall present any punched or patched skin or scalp or who shall bring in any skin or skins from other states or territory with the intent to obtain the bounty on the same fraudulently or any officer who shall sign any certificate herein provided for without first counting the skins and examining the same to determine the kind of skins and to see that the skin from the scalp or head is properly severed and preserved as hereinbefore provided or shall evade or violate any provision of any law of the state of Montana relative to bounties or bounty claims shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, on conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $1,000 or by imprisonment in the county jail not exceeding 1 year or by both such fine and imprisonment and two-thirds of the fine, if the same be collected or can be collected, shall be given to the informer and the balance be deposited in the state special revenue fund and used for the administration of 81-7-111 through 81-7-122.
