Energy and Telecommunications Interim Committee

The sixth meeting of the 2017-2018 Energy and Telecommunications Interim Committee (ETIC) is July 19-20.

The meeting will begin at 1 p.m., Thursday, and 8 a.m., Friday, in Room 152 of the State Capitol.

ETIC members will discuss bill drafts relating to qualifying facilities, integrated resource planning and resource planning, and small water and sewer utility regulation. The committee will examine 2017 Universal Systems Benefits reports and review final draft reports from the SJ 31: Decoupling study and the HJ 28: Natural Gas Customer Choice study.

Committee members will review the Bonneville Power Administration and Governor's office joint action plan for Montana renewables development. The committee will also receive an update from the Public Service Commission and host a panel discussion on pipeline investment in the state.

Additional committee topics include geothermal research and 9-1-1 grants.
