The Local Government Interim Committee will meet May 14 via video conference.

Starting at 10 a.m. on May 14, the LGIC will cover agenda items related to local impacts of the COVID-19 emergency and the federal Coronoavirus, Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. The committee will break for lunch at 12 p.m. and reconvene at 1 p.m. to discuss other agenda items including the MSU Local Government Center and to continue work on its assigned study: Senate Joint Resolution 3, study of alternative septic systems.

An agenda and meeting materials will be posted on the committee website.

The video conference is open to the public. The meeting will be streamed live on www.leg.mt.gov  and broadcast on the Montana Public Affairs Network (MPAN) if you wish to view only. An archived recording of the meeting will also be made immediately available on leg.mt.gov.

Members of the public who wish to participate may join the meeting.  If you want to participate, please email the meeting owner at toni.henneman@mt.gov by 5 p.m. the day before the meeting with your name and a request and you will be sent instructions for joining and participating in the meeting.

A time will be provided for oral public comment on the agenda and, at that time, members of the public who have joined may “raise their hand” and participate after being recognized by the presiding officer or the meeting host. Comments will be taken in order. Written public comment via email may be submitted in advance of the meeting to toni.henneman@mt.gov and will be provided to committee members.
