The Revenue Interim Committee will hold its first meeting of the interim on June 27, 2019. The meeting will be held in Room 102 of the State Capitol in Helena, starting at 9:30 a.m.

Senate members appointed to the committee are Duane Ankney, R-Colstrip; Dick Barrett, D-Missoula; Mark Blasdel, R-Kalispell; Jill Cohenour, D-East Helena; Brian Hoven, R-Great Falls; and Susan Webber, D-Browning. House members appointed to the committee are Becky Beard, R-Elliston; Zach Brown, D-Bozeman; John Fuller, R-Kalispell; Jim Hamilton, D-Bozeman; Marilyn Marler, D-Missoula; and Alan Redfield, R-Livingston.

The organizational meeting will include election of officers, consideration of a work plan to prioritize interim activities, updates from the Department of Revenue and the Montana Tax Appeal Board, and a general fund revenue collection report from the Legislative Fiscal Division.

The prioritization of interim activities will include discussion of a plan for the top-ranked study of Montana’s state and local tax systems and appointment of public members to participate in the study as called for in House Joint Resolution No. 35.
