Real ID Eligibility Related Materials

Based on a committee member’s request, the committee heard testimony from the Department of Justice’s Motor Vehicle Division regarding REAL ID eligibility and whether a non-citizen could be issued a REAL ID. A request was made for staff to draft provisional legislation to restrict eligibility to U.S. citizens only.

September 2024

The committee reviewed PD005 and PD006 and voted to introduce PD006 as a partisan committee bill.
